Notes To My Younger Self

Don’t be surprised or upset if people call you difficult and high maintenance. At first glance, these words may seem negative or even insulting. But if you put ego aside and think about the meaning behind the feedback, feel complimented. During your earth minutes, you’ll strive to be authentic, straight forward, and disciplined—difficult. You’ll hold yourself and others accountable for actions; meaning you’ll require that people around you, including you, will have to step up—high maintenance. Take time to consider all possible meanings when reacting to what people say. Since sometimes their words are confirmation you’re accomplishing the very thing you’re striving towards.
