Notes To My Younger Self:

If you find yourself feeling frustrated or irritated by other’s actions, instead of complaining, blaming and trying to figure out what’s wrong with them, shift your curiosity and focus to what’s going on with you. Take time to reflect and ask what the emotions you are feeling in the moment are trying to tell you—are you feeling sad, scared, anxious, insecure, tired, lonely. Once you figure out what’s going on with you, then ask yourself what can you do—not what someone else can do—to help you feel better. Strangely, I think you’ll find that any frustration or irritation you thought was coming from the outside, is really coming from within.
