Notes To My Younger Self:

p.s. Forgive me, the science nerd in me couldn’t resist.

How you look at the world will have a huge impact on your experiences—most times, do you see your glass as half empty or half full? You might be inclined to answer that question with ease, but before you measure the volume in your cup, dig a little deeper by considering what thoughts, actions and reactions you experience navigating your day to day. Are you upbeat and friendly? Nervous at times? Scared? Or do you ever find yourself, dukes up, readying to defend, bracing in case someone questions, criticizes or attacks? By taking time to learn about what you think and why you think it, you will become aware of your personal opinions, expectations, and how your own experiences may have conditioned you to perceive, feel, act, and anticipate in certain situations. During this deep dive you may discover thoughts, actions, reactions and attitudes that no longer work.
