Notes To My Younger Self:
There is nothing wrong with working hard, meeting goals and being productive. So long as you don’t run yourself ragged. You live in a world where it’s socially acceptable—even revered—to jam-pack your days with work, learning, activities, projects, family, friends and commitments leaving little or no opportunity to rest. And after long stretches of time at this breakneck pace, you might even find yourself unable or even have forgotten how to rest. Sounds ridiculous, I know, but if you’re questioning my suggestion, try this experiment. Get into the space—physical or mental—that you consider restful and after setting the timer on your phone, clock how long it takes before your mind comes up with something you should be doing other than resting.
