Notes To My Younger Self:
What makes you comfortable is important. Equally as important as getting the job done. A large part of creative energy is dependent on having an uncluttered mind and trusting, not rushing through, the process. In order to accomplish these goals, you need to discover which environments allow you to relax and let go. Although this sounds simple, it’s not easy. Take time to discover what it is about certain surroundings, certain times of the day, certain noises and smells where you feel an automatic urge to create.

“Ten thousand flowers in the spring, the moon in autumn, a cool breeze in the summer, snow in winter. If your mind isn’t clouded by unnecessary things, this is the best season of your life.”~Wu-men
