Your brain repeats what’s familiar; even beliefs that may not be good for you. It doesn’t care about comfort, fulfillment, peace and joy. It’s programmed to perceive unfamiliar things as threats and in order to survive, it believes it must ward off anything that doesn’t align with what it believes to be true.
