One of the many experiences you’ve had while flying will serve you in so many unexpected ways.
While in flight training, you will sit in your hotel room in front of a cockpit poster and run checklists over and over until your hands seem to reach for the to-do, before you read the line item aloud. Before your four hour simulator session, you will allow yourself as much time as it takes to visualize the flight from the moment you buckle into the seat until you hear the hydraulics on the trainer legs release, signaling the end of the session. (Every step, every checklist, every potential maneuver, every emergency procedure) Ahead of every passenger flight, you will repeat the same preparation, along with weather checking, weight and balance, visualizing the entire flight from start to finish before you leave the ground. So that you are clear-minded and prepared, so when the unexpected arises, you will be calm and assured.
Down the road, this prepping ritual will evolve into other areas of your life. The act of mental preparation will lead to you becoming immovable.
